Flower & Fly Wins Special Selection in Tokyo
We are proud to announce that Row One Productions has been awarded the "Special Selection in Web/New Media" award at the Tokyo International Short Film Festival for our short film, Flower & Fly. It’s such an incredible honor for all of us on the cast and crew. It's validation of our dedication to pushing the boundaries of storytelling in the digital realm.
Our winning entry captivated both audiences and judges with its unique narrative approach, blending stylistic visuals with powerfully worded spoken word poetry. This honor is amplified as the project was a partnership with the Center for Child Protection in Austin, TX, and through it’s exhibition at several fundraiser events, we helped raise over one million dollars that went directly to helping victims of child abuse. Being recognized at such a prestigious festival like the Tokyo International Short Film Festival, for a project we feel so strongly about, reaffirms our belief in the power of innovative storytelling for good.
Participating in this festival provided us with an incredible platform to showcase our talent on an international stage. The acknowledgment of our work in web and new media highlights the evolving landscape of filmmaking and the increasing importance of digital platforms.
This award not only celebrates our creativity and hard work but also inspires us to continue exploring the endless possibilities of storytelling. As we continue on our journey, we are motivated to push boundaries and redefine conventions in web and new media content creation.
Huge shouts to our writer and poet Christopher Micheal, the talented Skylar Robinson, the Center for Child Protection and the entire cast and crew of Flower & Fly. Y’all are changing lives with your art!
