Center for Child Protection

‘Letters to Christopher’

A boy named Christopher lost his life to child abuse. CPS had received reports of abuse, but instead of calling law enforcement, they sent a letter. That letter arrived one day too late. This tragic event motivated the creation of the Center for Child Protection. Key figures of that event recite letters addressed to Christopher some 33 years after his death.
